Head of LSA: Maria Chaniotaki – MA Theatre Designer/ Scenographer, Visual Artist.
2022 marks the 22th anniversary of Laboratory of Scenography Athens, LSA.
I would like to take the opportunity and thank my students and colleagues of the past 22 years, for the valuable experiences, knowledge, imagination and mutual love for Scenography. Your perspective, did not ever leave me the chance to not look at the future. This academic year, one more difficult year, due to covid – 19, ends with an οnline Graduate Exhibition, created by the students themselves.

More than 300 graduates LSA students and the successful perspective most of them as visual artists and designers and also the acceptance of most of them in Postgraduate Programs in Scenography in Universities abroad encourages LSA to continue, with responsibility, the educational and creative directions, always enriched with the new international perspectives in Art Theatre and Scenography.

LSA was founded in 2000 in Athens by Maria Chaniotaki.
Distinguished practitioners from theater, dance, art and film have visited LSA, as lecturers in workshops since 2000.
Many projects were based on the artistic and creative aim of LSA's Programs such as "Inverted Thread" Performance Installation at BIOS Theatre(2008) and "Inverted Thread- the fairy tale" at Askisis Theatre (2009). Both Performances were based more on the impact of the narrative image, space, sight, sound, smell experience, and time and less on speech and dialogues.
LSA Graduate Exhibitions and individual student Exhibitions of LSA Visual Art and Performance Design Course took place at Monohoro Art Gallery, Giagianos Gallery, Embros Theatre, Art Theatre Karolos Koun - Frynichou, and at the Theatre of Neos Kosmos.
Due to covid – 19 , LSA Graduate's Exhibition 2022 will be presented online.
